Cougars taking a step forward?
Everyone talks about taking a step forward in the right direction with a win or hard fought competitive game, but they also say taking a step backward in the wrong direction with a blowout or sloppy game. In today's society everyone needs information now, so we look at each victory or loss that with the thought that our beloved Cougs are taking a step in a certain direction. I for one am tired of becoming so caught up in every single game when progress is measured over an entire season. Last week we were dominated in every facet of the game versus Oregon State (2-6) and then played very competitively with 7th ranked Oregon at Autzen stadium. We were saying fire Wulff after the OSU game but now after a very competitive game against Oregon people are looking forward to our last 4 games which are all winnable games.
Every game is an emotional high or low throughout the roller coaster of a college football season. I think us as fans need to look at the each game for what it is, ONE game. One game doesn't make the season and one games doesn't mean a team is making a step in the right or wrong direction. I like to split the season into quarters. Are the Cougs making progress over a 3 game stretch, that I think is a much more telling story of if our team is making a step in the right or wrong direction. Are we learning from our mistakes.
As a fan this has been a season where people were built up with high expectations through our first 5 games. Playing competitively with chances to win each one. We saw progress throughout each one, playing a more talented team each time (well trade SDSU for Colorado) although not always getting the wanted result. We played competitively with Stanford for a half before they methodically dominated in the second half which is their forte. We then came out completely flat against OSU and people were calling for Wulff's head. Then we play competitively with Oregon and if not for some redzone turnovers and specials teams upsets might have been real close with a possible upset. Overall, this team is making progress and we are doing it all without our starting quarterback, Jeff Tuel.
I'm looking forward to seeing if the Cougs can take the growth they've had over the entire season and produce some results aka Ws in the next 4 games. I think it's about time this team starting getting actual victories and not just moral ones. Go Cougs!

Cougars take on OSU in Seattle
After a dramatic 31-14 victory last season, the Beavers will certainly be looking for revenge when they play the Cougars in Seattle's Century Link Field.

Seattle Game Student Tickets
Wazzu student tickets are sold out for the "home game" in Century Link Field aka the CLink. This means any student who has a sports pass which costs $130 can gain entrance into every home free of charge after paying the one time fee. This includes getting into any "home" game, even if the game is played outside of the Palouse. These venues include Century Link, Key Arena, Spokane Arena, Martin, Beasley, and the various other home fields we have here in Pullman. Students tickets "sold out" on Wednesday afternoon meaning any student who had not picked up their hard copy of a ticket for the Wazzu game in Seattle must pay for a ticket, although the sports pass lists this game as a "home" game. This is one of the things I learned to love about Wazzu and make fun of all my Husky friends, the UW athletic department always screwed over their students when it came to tickets and seating and we always had the best. This makes me and other students I have talked to upset. CLink holds 67,000 compared to Martin Stadium's 36,000 and I would think that the Athletic Department would provide a student ticket to the game in Seattle for every student who paid for a sports pass. Many may say, "why did you wait to get them", as they have been on sale for two weeks now. It's not that I have intentionally held off, but rather would "assume" that after purchasing my HOME SEASON sports pass, I would be able get mine. As a student and speaking for my peers, I feel as though we've been sold out (pun intended, terrible I know) so the Athletic Department can get more money. Sorry for listening to my rant but Go Cougs! And on a positive note I think we are going to bash in OSU final score Wazzu 37 OSU 17.

Aire Justin still making contribution to the Cougars
Former cornerback had his senior season taken away from him by the NCAA for taking a banned substance. However that hasn't stopped him from helping out the Coug secondary in a big way.
